Iridology Abbotsford - The alternative healing therapy utilizing color dates back thousands of years. The ancient cultures of Egypt, China and India relied on the healing energy of color. Color is the result of light of different wavelengths, therefore, every color has its' own certain energy and wavelength.

Color Therapy Has Various Uses

The seven colors of the spectrum consists of: yellow, green, blue, indigo, red and orange. Each color has a particular energy which resonates with the 7 main energy centers called chakras in the body. Visualize if you will that the chakras are a set of cogwheels that work rather like the workings of a clock; each cogwheel has to move smoothly in order for the clock to function correctly. In people, wellbeing and good health is achieved by a balance of all of these energies. To be able to maintain proper health, it is extremely vital to have balance of the energy inside each of the body's chakras.

Color therapy could be utilized so as to stimulate or re-balance these energies. Our chakras could be re-balanced through applying the appropriate color to the body. Red pertains to the base chakra, orange pertains to the sacral chakra, yellow refers to the solar plexus chakra, green relates to the heart chakra, blue is for the throat chakra, indigo refers to the brow chakra, that is usually called the third eye, and violet refers to the crown chakra.

The energy of color affects individuals on all levels, as in the spiritual, physical and emotional. We absorb color through the skin, our skull, the eyes and our aura, or also called magnetic energy field. Every cell within the body needs light energy, therefore; color energy has widespread effects on the whole body. There are several methods of giving our bodies color like for example; Solarized Water, light boxes and lamps with color filters, colored silks as well as hands on healing using color.

Color therapy can help on physical levels, while there are various deeper benefits to psychological and spiritual levels. As many of the problems that individuals face each day are not physical, more and more practitioners are focusing on holistic means of treatment. Both complementary and orthodox practitioners understand that we are made up of a combination of spirit, mind and body. None of these distinctive areas function entirely alone and each has a direct effect upon the other. As color addresses all levels of our being, Color Therapy could be very useful.

As babies, our first color experiences occur within the womb where we are enclosed in a nurturing and comforting pink. As children, we are likewise taught to associate colors into are initial learning processes. These very first color associations contribute to our consciousness. Once we grow older, we attach various different meanings, memories and feelings to particular colors and then this can become a feature in our subconscious. We may build up prejudices to colors that have sad, frightening, or happy connotations for us.

Life is full of experiences for everyone and these experiences make an overall impression on us, some negative and some positive. It is the negative experiences which can manifest themselves in a physical way sooner or later into a level of discomfort which in turn becomes dis-ease. For instance, maybe over the years, for some purpose we have been in a certain condition where we have felt powerless to speak our mind or express our own truth. This can manifest as a concern in the throat chakra. The throat chakra refers to the spiritual aspect of self expression. Hence, if self expression has been blocked, the energy in this particular area will be stagnant and not flowing freely. In turn, this stagnant blockage can cause a physical manifestation of dis-ease.

In order to help find aid to possible concerns, begin paying attention to your strong color preferences. Being able to work with the correct colors could help dispel negative feelings, free blockages and re-balance the body, spiritually, emotionally and in turn, physically.

Color is such a huge part of our world, it should be a part of our daily life and not simply something we experience for an hour or two with a therapist. Color Therapy is a really non-invasive and holistic therapy. We are surrounded by color. Our amazing planet does not have all the gorgeous colors of the rainbow for no reason. Everything in life is here for a purpose, nothing is here simply by chance and color is no exception. In order to heighten our awareness of the energy of color and how it can transform our lives, look for a professional color therapist. We all have the capacity for wellbeing and health within us.
